Pontus Jansson, Liam Cooper and Luke Ayling have reacted on Twitter to Thursday night's result draw at Villa Park.
Leeds United were minutes away from picking up a hard-fought three points against an Aston Villa side who had won their last five matches at home.
Jansson's firm header on 54 minutes had given Garry Monk's side the lead, but Jonathan Kodjia levelled up from the penalty spot, after Liam Cooper handled the ball inside the area, on 86 minutes to deny the Whites.
The inevitable disappointment of the travelling fans sort of sums up how far United have come under Monk, given that Leeds were on the brink of victory - a point that Ayling and the Swedish defender were keen to mention afterwards.
You know you are far ahead when you are disappointed after 1 point away against Aston Villa!— Pontus Jansson (@PJansson5) December 29, 2016

Cooper, meanwhile, apologised for conceding the penalty, but praised the "top class" Leeds fans for their support as per usual.
Gutted is an understatement can only apologise and move on! Fans were different class.. Big game Monday! Get back to winning ways! #MOT— Liam Cooper (@LiamCooper__) December 29, 2016
