Pontus Jansson and Liam Cooper react on Twitter to Leeds draw

Pontus Jansson and Liam Cooper react on Twitter to Leeds United's latest result.

Pontus Jansson, Liam Cooper and Luke Ayling have reacted on Twitter to Thursday night's result draw at Villa Park.

Leeds United were minutes away from picking up a hard-fought three points against an Aston Villa side who had won their last five matches at home.

Jansson's firm header on 54 minutes had given Garry Monk's side the lead, but Jonathan Kodjia levelled up from the penalty spot, after Liam Cooper handled the ball inside the area, on 86 minutes to deny the Whites.

The inevitable disappointment of the travelling fans sort of sums up how far United have come under Monk, given that Leeds were on the brink of victory - a point that Ayling and the Swedish defender were keen to mention afterwards.

Cooper, meanwhile, apologised for conceding the penalty, but praised the "top class" Leeds fans for their support as per usual.

Monk's side, who moved fourth in the Championship as a result of last night's draw, host Rotherham United on Monday night.
