The Swedish international centre-back added to his reputation by scoring against Aston Villa last night, in a 1-1 draw.
Leeds' Pontus Jansson celebrates scoring their first goal
Jansson was imposing in defence and helped nullify Jonathan Kodjia and Ross McCormack, with only a penalty leading to Villa's goal, after defensive partner Liam Cooper had made a handball and conceded a spot kick.
Leeds are understood to have an option to sign Jansson after he has played 20 games, a milestone he will meet shortly, with the Yorkshire Evening Post reporting he was keen on a deal.
Leeds' Pontus Jansson celebrates
It is fortunate his attention seems to be solely focused towards Leeds, as his performance have been so impressive that he will not have gone unnoticed by scouts.
His display last night was one of many impressive performances he has turned in this season, and it had rival supporters - including fans of Premier League clubs - lauding his efforts, dreaming their own clubs could steal in and sign him from under Leeds' noses.
Here is a look at the reaction via Twitter...

Pontus Jansson would be a decent replacement for GMac and/or Olsson. On loan from Torino so not a Leeds player per se— RD (@SenorRajD) December 29, 2016
