The 25-year-old has been linked with a move away from Aston Villa....and fans hope it materialises.
The report claims that Aston Villa would part company with the 25-year-old if a bid in the region of £10 million was lodged by Andre Villas-Boas's new side.
Ayew, a £9 million signing by Tim Sherwood 18 months ago, has hardly been a huge success during his time at Villa Park.
The Ghana international has only netted nine times in 50 appearances for the Birmingham club and he has not quite ripped the Championship apart; something which was anticipated by fans following their demotion into the second tier.
But the former Lorient star did, to his credit, show promising signs of life in Aston Villa's 2-1 win over Burton Albion on Boxing Day, setting up Ross McCormack's winner, but fans of the Villans seem happy enough to let him go regardless.
@villareport if Oscar is worth £60m then Ayew must be around £40m sell sell sell— Burntwood Villan ⚽️ (@kpvilla) December 25, 2016
His goal record is not attrocious because although nine in 50 games is not brilliant, it's not terrible either, but it's his assist record which perhaps lets him down.
Ayew has only set up four goals for Aston Villa which, for a winger, is just not enough and that is among the reasons why fans have not taken much of a shine to him.
