Crystal Palace have seemingly become the latest Premier League side to join the race to sign the Italian.

Crystal Palace have joined a host of their Premier League rivals by registering an interest in the Napoli forward Manolo Gabbiadini, according to the Daily Mail.

The Mail reports that the 25-year-old looks to be on his way out of the Serie A club in the near future, having struggled to make much of an impact this season.

And it appears that, despite a £22 million asking price – which the Mail suggests could be lowered due to his struggles with his current side – he may have numerous offers to come to the Premier League.

The Mail reports that Crystal Palace will have to see off competition from West Ham United, Everton and Stoke City for Gabbiadini’s signature.

Though Gabbiadini’s form this season would perhaps make it difficult for Sam Allardyce to justify investing £22 million of the funds available to him on pursuing the forward, he has previously shown during his time in Italy – and while playing in the Champions League – that he can be a reliable goalscorer, who can also play on either wing or just off the striker in an attacking midfield role.

And that ability and creativity could be extremely useful as the Eagles look to drag themselves away from their current position just outside the relegation zone in the top flight.
