St Pauli sit bottom of the German second division, and are looking to strengthen to avoid relegation to the third tier.

Former Austrian youth international Nuhiu has been at Sheffield Wednesday since 2013 when he signed from Rapid Vienna.

He has gone onto play more than 130 games for the Owls, but is a divisive figure due to his lack of goals.

This season he has made only one start for Carlos Carvalhal's side, plus 11 substitute appearances, but is yet to find the net.

Last season he made 44 appearances, 22 of which were starts, and scored only three times, also providing six assists.

Nuhiu has a contract at Hillsborough until 2018 but if Wednesday get a half-decent offer, it will make sense to cash in.
