Neville wants Arsenal as champions but only if Manchester United aren't.
The Gunners have found themselves competing at the top of the table again this season after a relatively strong first half of the campaign.
They currently find themselves in fourth place in the table and nine points behind leaders Chelsea after defeats to Manchester City and Everton.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger before the match
With this year’s title race set to be an extremely close one, there is no ruling them out just yet and Neville has admitted they are the team he wants to win it should United fail to do so.
If united don't win I hope it's arsenal.. but im not sure they will https://t.co/1PX2eAkRDV— Gary Neville (@GNev2) 20 December 2016
It remains to be seen if Arsenal are genuine title contenders this season or do end up just competing for a top four spot yet again.
Nine points is a big gap at this stage of the season and with Chelsea, in fine form, it is hard to see how the Gunners will get themselves back to the top of the table.
The Premier League title race is an unpredictable beast though and more turns are likely before the end of the season. Arsenal will be hoping they are in their favour.
