Everton are reportedly keen on the Feyenoord defender.
The Blues are expected to be busy in the January transfer window, with Ronald Koeman reportedly keen on adding a number of new signings to his squad.
Improving his defence may be a priority, with the Blues frailties at the back having been exposed in recent months.
Several defenders have been linked with a potential switch to Goodison Park as a result and it appears that Koeman may be looking in the Eredivisie for options.
Terence Kongolo training
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, he has his eyes on Feyenoord defender Terence Kongolo.
The website reports that contact has already been made between the two clubs about a transfer.
As yet no price has been reported but with reports suggesting Everton have cash to spare for the winter window that is unlikely to be an issue.
Terence Kongolo celebrates
Kongolo is well known to the Everton boss, who actually handed the 22-year-old his debut back in 2012.
He has since gone on to make nearly 100 appearances and Koeman appears to have been keeping track of his progress.
Predominantly left-footed, he would fit in nicely alongside summer signing Ashley Williams and provide a long-term replacement for captain Phil Jagielka, who turns 35 next summer.
