The England international is apparently on the radar of Paris Saint-Germain.

The story

The Mirror reported this week that England international and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli is wanted in a £50 million deal next summer as PSG look to freshen up their first-team squad.

Positives

The positive factor is clear – money!

Spurs would be cashing in yet another large cheque on a player who cost them just £5 million, as reported by the BBC. That presents a massive increase in his value and an incredible piece of business for Spurs – which cannot be ignored.

Negatives

Spurs are trying to shake off their reputation as a selling club and allowing Alli to join PSG would be a backward step in that pursuit.

It would certainly be a sale that leaves Spurs fans bitterly disappointed.

On top of that they would be losing a key player who has many years of success ahead of him in the game.

The verdict

As tempting as that sort of money must be Spurs should not even consider selling Alli at that price.

It only takes a look at the fee Manchester United had to pay for Paul Pogba in the summer to see how valuable Alli could go on to become.

Spurs should not consider selling Alli at any price at present.
