Slaven Bilic suggests how many players West Ham United want to sign in January; discusses Dimitri Payet's future

West Ham United are expected to invest in the January transfer window.

Slaven Bilic has suggested at his press conference earlier today that West Ham United are on the look out for at least two new additions in the January transfer window.

The Hammers have had a hugely disappointing start to the campaign, and they currently sit in 17th place in the Premier League table.

Bilic admits that he is now looking to strengthen West Ham’s squad at the next opportunity, but he would not disclose which players he was looking at.

One of the positions West Ham are believed to be looking to make additions in is up-front.

The Hammers have struggled to find a potent striker throughout the campaign so far, with many of their summer additions not firing.

Simone Zaza and Jonathan Calleri have both been huge disappointments, since arriving at the London Stadium, and it has left Bilic short of attacking options.

As a result, West Ham have been left to rely on Dimitri Payet to be their main creator once again, but the French international has failed to live up to the very high standards he set last season.

There has been some concerns that Payet would look to leave West Ham in January, but Bilic insists that the former Marseille man is very focused on the task in hand.
