The 19-year-old scored for his loan club Walsall at the weekend.
West Ham United had a good weekend, picking up an impressive 2-2 draw with Liverpool at Anfield. The Hammers deserved their point against Jurgen Klopp’s men with an impressive performance on the road.
But it was not just those with the first-team that had a weekend to remember.
He netted in the League One fixture against Fleetwood Town. He was clearly delighted with the goal, as he showed on his official Twitter account – posting this message:
Great feeling scoring my first professional goal disappointing result but great support from the fans, we go again Tuesday!! #saddlers— George Dobson (@georgedobson97) December 10, 2016
Unfortunately for him it did not prove enough to pick up all three points, or any points for that matter. Walsall lost the game 2-1.
But his performance will hopefully see him get more minutes at The Banks’s Stadium. He has mainly been a substitute for the club since making his move and West Ham will want to see him getting more regular football at the club in the weeks and months to come.
Dobson will no doubt be hoping to add to his goal tally.
