The chairman wears his heart on his sleeve, and that was never more evident than on Saturday.
Aston Villa fans finally have the passionate and committed owner they have been longing for after a decade of radio silence under Randy Lerner.
Lerner's replacement, Tony Xia, has made headlines since he completed his takeover of the club at the end of last season for his highly-active Twitter profile and his lack of fear of publicly commenting on club matters.
That can have its pitfalls, of course, in today's world, but his passionate and hands-on approach is the antithesis of the way the club was run under Lerner, when fans were frequently frustrated by a lack of communication and accountability from the owner.
One simple but huge difference is that Xia actually attends matches whenever he can. He has been seen at Villa Park on numerous occasions since taking over, and he was there on Saturday to witness Villa finally break Wigan Athletic's resistance late on.
It looked like they were heading for another frustrating draw until Jack Grealish picked out the top corner from outside the box with just two minutes remaining to seal all three points.
Whilst the stadium naturally erupted in delight and relief, surely no person inside the ground celebrated the goal more passionately than Xia. The video below from Villa's official Twitter account captured his celebration.

Villa fans will love seeing the club's owner getting so caught up in the celebrations. From Lerner - had he even been there, a big assumption considering his absenteeism - it would likely have elicited at most a smile and an awkward, half-hearted air-punch.
Xia truly seems to be a supporters' owner, a long may it continue.
