The Bayern Munich star is the perfect Guardiola player.

Manchester City were dealt a sickening blow to their hopes in the Premier League at the weekend, as reigning Premier League champions Leicester City put them to the sword at the King Power Stadium.

They lost 4-2, initially going 4-0 down, as their system simply failed to nullify the threat from the Foxes.

What became abundantly clear in the game is that not many of the Manchester City players look adapted to new manager Pep Guardiola’s style of play.

One player that City must consider making a move for in January is Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich – the ultimate Guardiola player.

In March this year, whilst still manager of Bayern, Guardiola told beIN Sports of his love for the young German:

"I love Joshua Kimmich, he brings everything. He has absolutely everything and can achieve whatever he wants.”

The 21-year-old has had an excellent 2016, becoming a regular Bayern Munich player and thriving for the German national team.

He is versatile, playing in midfield or defend with ease – his adaptability is undoubtedly a key reason why Pep is such a big fan.

He could solve many of Manchester City’s problems in midfield and at full-back, instantly becoming a key player at City.

If Guardiola needs a player to help bring everything together than Kimmich might be that man.
