Liverpool and West Ham United went head-to-head at the weekend.
Jurgen Klopp’s side took the lead through Adam Lallana only to see Dimitri Payet pin them back.
Michail Antonio’s goal for the Hammers was then cancelled out by the ever-improving Divock Origi and that was how the score line remained until the final whistle.
While Liverpool’s defence came in for plenty of criticism, they also failed to finish sufficient chances at the opposite end of the field, with summer signing Georginio Wijnaldum again being blamed by some sections of the fan base.
The former Newcastle United player has struggled to replicate his best form at Anfield, finding the net just once and adding four assists in 17 appearances for Liverpool to date.
Given his experience and innate talent, Wijnaldum really should be doing more in a red shirt.
After the match we took to Twitter to see what Liverpool fans thought of Wijnaldum’s latest performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
I've backed Wijnaldum mostly but he needs to improve and start contributing something. Firmino has play upfront. #LFC— @LongBallFestival (@Zombiphi777) December 11, 2016
Wijnaldum and Mané were great today— Josh (@LFCJosh23) December 11, 2016
I think I might start nicknaming Wijnaldum the ghost man. You never notice him when he's on the pitch & he always seems to disappear. #LFC— Matthew Graham (@MattGraham90) December 11, 2016
Wijnaldum is the almost guy.... wasted all our good chances.... doesn't offer much defensively, offensively #lfc— lllll lll lllllll l (@dGhost_) December 11, 2016
Missed Can sorely today— keyur sapra (@KeyurSap) December 11, 2016
He provides the drive from midfield while wijnaldum is a passive passer #lfc
