MacAnthony, who is a Liverpool fan, has not been impressed with the signing of Loris Karius in the summer transfer window.
The Reds signed the 23-year-old goalkeeper from German club Mainz in the summer.
The German custodian seems to have established himself as the first-choice custodian at Anfield, but he has made mistakes.
Karius failed to deal with Dimitri Payet’s free kick during the Premier League game between Liverpool and West Ham United at Anfield on Sunday evening.
MacAnthony was following the match, which ended in a 2-2 draw, and the chairman of League One club Peterborough was not impressed with the performance of the Liverpool goalkeeper.
The Peterborough chairman has criticised Liverpool manager Klopp for not making the right signings in the summer transfer window.
@DMAC102 Criticism of Karius has blown way out of proportion imo. Made a few errors but he's 23. If he was Posh you'd be fuming at fans etc— Greg Clark (@gclark90) December 11, 2016
Errors from young GKs happen but I don't see any top class saves to show this potential etc https://t.co/w6TP5CfQwJ— Darragh MacAnthony (@DMAC102) December 11, 2016
@DMAC102 he did buy 2 cbs and a keeper but theyve been woeful— chris lampett (@Lampett88) December 11, 2016
That's my point about he had all summer & this is where we are. Not good imo https://t.co/C4Qz9n1nT4— Darragh MacAnthony (@DMAC102) December 11, 2016
This is not the first time that MacAnthony has criticised Klopp on Twitter. Back in August, the Peterborough chairman stated his displeasure at the German manager failing to address the left-back problem in the summer (click here to read more).
Liverpool manager has had whole summer to fix LB problem & buy one. But nope it's Moreno & Milner as LB options. . Moreno still awful.— Darragh MacAnthony (@DMAC102) August 14, 2016
