Arsenal are reportedly set to make an offer for Wolfsburg outcast Julian Draxler.

The Express are reporting this morning that Arsenal are preparing a £30 million January bid for Wolfsburg's Germany international Julian Draxler.

The 23-year-old has been a long-term Gunners target, and is one of the most highly-rated forwards in European football.

The Express reports that Arsene Wenger is set to take advantage of Draxler's situation at the Bundesliga club, where he has reportedly been told that he will not play another game for them.

With the Gunners in such a strong position in the Premier League, and safely qualified through to the latter stages of the Champions League, a quality January addition could provide the extra confidence that the side needs to go on and win a major trophy this season.

Arsenal do have plenty of options in wide attacking areas, including the likes of Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Alex Iwobi, but it could be argued that the potential addition of Draxler would lift the aforementioned names to even higher levels.

The German international is highly talented, and at £30 million, would represent an absolute steal for the Gunners, should a move come to fruition.
