Brendan Rodgers compares Celtic star Tom Rogic with Liverpool's Adam Lallana

Rogic has enjoyed a brilliant few months since Rodgers' arrival at Celtic.

Brendan Rodgers has suggested that Celtic star Tom Rogic has a similar set of attributes to Liverpool playmaker Adam Lallana, The Scottish Sun reports.

The Australian has enjoyed an excellent campaign so far, scoring 10 times in 25 appearances in all competitions, including six goals in the Scottish Premiership.

The fact that he has reached double figures already means that he has already equalled his tally from the entirety of the last campaign. And having seen his brilliant form up close, Rodgers has drawn comparisons between the 23-year-old and the £25m signing he made during his time as Reds boss (via BBC Sport).

"Tom's got huge potential. His bodywork is as good as you'll get," he said, as reported by The Scottish Sun.

"He and Lallana are of that same mould where they just roll out of trouble. Technically, he's so gifted and physically he's better now.

"Last Saturday, he played right the way through and was a big player at the end."

With suggestions like Rodgers' that Rogic reminds him of Lallana, it would hardly be a surprise if the Hoops man is attracting bids during future transfer windows.

However, what should give Bhoys supporters hope even if they ultimately lose Rogic, is the fact that Rodgers has already shown during his first few months at Parkhead that he has the ability to make stars out of players that had previously been written off.

Though Rogic never quite fell into that category - he still impressed under Ronny Deila - some of his teammates, most notably the likes of James Forrest and Stuart Armstrong, have found a new lease of life under Rodgers, so there is no reason that more players cannot enjoy a similar upturn in future.
