Brighton & Hove Albion won against Leeds United in the Championship on Friday evening.

Brighton & Hove Albion returned to winning ways in the Championship on Friday evening when they got the better of Leeds United at home.

The Seagulls won 2-0 against Leeds at the American Express Community Stadium in the Championship.

Glenn Murray put the Seagulls in the lead from the penalty spot midway through the first half, with Leeds’s Kalvin Phillips sent off.

Then on 82 minutes, Tomer Hemed wrapped up the points for the home team with his side’s second spot kick.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at the American Express Community Stadium on Friday evening, hosts Brighton had 60% of the possession, took 18 shots of which seven were on target, and earned seven corners, according to BBC Sport.

Visitors Leeds, who ended the match with 10 men, had 40% of the possession, took two shots of which none was on target, and earned only one corner, according to BBC Sport.

Brighton are second in the Championship table at the moment, while Leeds are currently fifth in the standings.
