West Ham United are currently in 17th place in the Premier League table.
Harry Redknapp has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, which was broadcast on TalkSPORT on 8th December, that West Ham United need to get Andy Carroll back in their first-team.
Carroll has been out injured for much of the season so far, but he did make a comeback in the Hammers’ 5-1 defeat against Arsenal last weekend.
The England international headed in a consolation goal for Slaven Bilic’s side during the contest.
And Redknapp believes that West Ham should now build their side around Carroll, and look to go to a back-to-basics approach.

“West Ham, and I’m not making excuses for Slaven, but they’ve had horrific injuries,” he said. “They played excellently at Palace a few weeks ago, and I thought they could go on a run – but they’ve lost Cresswell and Antonio.
“I think he needs to get Carroll back in the team and go a little bit route one. He’s a threat. I think they’ll be okay. I don’t see them getting relegated this year.”
Bilic is currently under a large amount of pressure, after West Ham’s terrible start to the season.

The Hammers have badly disappointed, and they sit in 17th place in the Premier League table as things stand.
West Ham are just one point above the relegation zone, and there are concerns that they could be dragged into the battle for survival.
The Hammers are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Liverpool at Anfield.
