The naturally two footed wide man has impressed scouts with his pace, skill, technique, and fantastic understanding of the game. He played a vital part in Sutton's 6-3 victory over Dartford in the first round of the FA Cup with Deacon scoring two and assisting the other four in an entertaining cup tie at Princes Park.
His displays have impressed scouts from clubs higher up the football pyramid and HITC Sport understands Charlton see Deacon as a suitable replacement for their much coveted youngster Ademola Lookman who is likely to leave the South East London club in the near future.
