Arsene Wenger's men currently sit in fourth position in the Premier League, four points ahead of fifth placed Tottenham, who have endured a miserable run of late, both domestically and on the continent.
Mauricio Pochettino has found himself to be the target of heavy criticism over this past month, and will be desperate for his side to get back on track against Swansea City tomorrow.
And Nicholas, who made 151 league appearances for Arsenal during a five year spell with the club, believes the Lilywhites will once again be looking up at their north London rivals come May, as quoted by the Mirror:
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino
“I think they [Arsenal] are still a bit soft at the back and I’m not sure if Arsene knows his best combination of holding midfielders. And I think they will finish above Tottenham again – in fact, the best four teams I’ve seen this season in the Premier League are the current top four, not necessarily in the same order."
The Gunners head to the Olympic Stadium to take on West Ham United tomorrow, and will be hoping to return to winning ways following their disappointing midweek EFL Cup quarter-final defeat to Southampton at the Emirates.
The game can be seen live on BT Sport 1 and kicks off at 17:30.
