Everton are reportedly keen to find competition for Maarten Stekelenburg.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Everton have added a goalkeeper to their list of targets for the January transfer window.
The Blues made a strong start to the campaign and had looked like they would do well under new manager Ronald Koeman this season.
However, they have since tailed away with a series of disappointing performances, managing just one win in their last eight games.

That has put added scrutiny on the current crop of players and their ability, with many questioning whether they are good enough to match the club’s lofty aims.
A busy January transfer window has been mooted with suggestions that Koeman is determined to overhaul the squad he inherited from Roberto Martinez.

And the Liverpool Echo reports that one position they are looking to strengthen is the goalkeeping department.
The Blues added Maarten Stekelenburg to their ranks in the summer and he has been number one but the newspaper reports the Blues are keen to find both competition and a long-term replacement for the Dutchman.
They reportedly already have a three-man shortlist drawn up which could include Southampton man Fraser Forster, although Koeman is aware he would be tough to secure at any point, let alone in January.
