West Ham have made a poor start to the new campaign, and there are concerns that they could be dragged into a relegation fight.
As things stand, the Hammers are just one point above the bottom three - and the pressure is building on Bilic.
Things were not helped by West Ham’s meek exit from the EFL Cup against Manchester United yesterday.
The London side were beaten 4-1 by the Red Devils at Old Trafford, with Bilic controversially deciding to name a number of fringe players in his line-up.
However, Le Tissier feels that Bilic will be given time to sort out West Ham’s form.
The Southampton legend said: “I’d be surprised [if Bilic was sacked]. After the season they had last season, he has gained a few brownie points and bought himself some time to go through a bad spell.
“The thing with West Ham is probably you look at the players who have been brought in and recruitment policy is something that needs looking at. Who actually bought the players? That’s tough on the manager.”
West Ham are next in action this weekend, when they take on Arsenal at the London Stadium in a vital match for both sides.
If the Hammers can pick up three points against their London rivals, they could move up to 12th place in the Premier League table.
