Additions incoming? Pochettino drops hint about Tottenham Hotspur's January transfer plans

Tottenham Hotspur are currently in fifth place in the Premier League table.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has told the Hampstead and Highgate Newspaper that he is open to making additions in the January transfer window.

Spurs are currently on a poor run of form, with many of the signings that they made last summer failing to impress at White Hart Lane.

The likes of Vincent Janssen and Moussa Sissoko are already facing serious questions over their quality.

And Pochettino admits that if the opportunity to add more quality to his Tottenham squad arises in January, he will take it.

"I think like the last two seasons here if we have the possibility to add some players that can bring what we don't have in the squad, we're always open to improving the squad,” he said. “But you know that in winter it's difficult to add players that can help us.”

Pochettino has already stated that he wants to inject some more depth into his Tottenham team, after they crashed out of the Champions League this season.

The Argentine boss went on record to state that he would make changes if Tottenham qualified for Europe’s top competition again.

In terms of names, Spurs are said to be tracking Real Madrid’s Isco (London Evening Standard) and Celtic’s Moussa Dembele (Daily Mirror), but completing a deal for either could be difficult.

Spurs are currently six points behind league leaders Chelsea in the Premier League table, with their next match coming against Swansea City at the weekend.
