The Tottenham Hotspur teenager is in the public consciousness now.
The 17-year-old was quietly going about his business in the club’s academy, pushing for more opportunities, when he was asked to train with England’s senior side ahead of their recent clash with Spain.
That put Duncan well and truly in the spotlight and while he has a very long way to go before he is representing his country at senior level, it showed just what a young talent Tottenham have on their books.
“The last few weeks have been unreal,” Duncan told tottenhamhotspur.com. “My experience with the England squad was amazing.
“I really learned a lot from it. I think it’s given me a lot of confidence in my game and I can’t wait for this game tonight.”
The match Duncan is referring to is the FA Youth Cup clash against Stevenage, and he will no doubt be hoping to impress as he bids for more chances at under-18 and UEFA Youth League level, before potentially building on his single appearance for the club’s under-23s.
Tottenham have a number of exciting young players on their books and Duncan is certainly climbing the list as his star is very much in the ascendancy.
