The Belgian is a big fan of the impressive midfielder.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld has been commenting on the promise of team-mate Harry Winks to FourFourTwo.

The Belgian defender has been named the best defender in the Premier League on the magazines best 100 Players in the World for 2016 – coming in 33rd overall.

He was joined by Harry Kane and Dele Alli in the list and was asked by FFT if he felt any of the current Spurs team might be making the grade in the future.

At first he seemed to suggest it could be anyone at White Hart Lane – before naming Winks as potentially the man for the job:

“I think it’s the whole team.

“The team is young and talented and we have hunger for more. Harry Winks is doing well and he has the right head on his body to achieve some great things. He works hard and has a fantastic attitude to become a very good player.”

Winks has been catching the eye with his performances for Tottenham recently.

He recently scored his first goal for Spurs against West Ham in the Premier League and it appears he is ahead of big-money summer signing Moussa Sissoko in the pecking order at White Hart Lane.

The 20-year-old certainly has a big future in the game but if he is going to make it to this sort of level he still has plenty of growing to do on and off the pitch.

If he does, than the sky could be the limit for Spurs’ latest talent.
