Celtic's Scott Brown celebrates scoring their fifth goal

Scott Brown says he is happier than ever at Celtic.

Scott Brown won his 11th trophy as a Celtic player at the weekend as they beat Aberdeen 3-0 in the BetFred Cup Final.

The midfielder is back to his best this season after coming in for criticism last campaign, and does not look to be going anywhere.

Speaking to the club's official website, Brown stated that he is enjoying his football more than ever, and on a personal note has even made a breakthrough in terms of his approach.

Brown said: "I’m playing football with a smile on my face – probably the first time that I’ve done so in 15 years – but it’s been fantastic.

"It doesn’t matter about my own performances, it’s about success for this club and the gaffer’s done that."

It has been clear to see that Brendan Rodgers has had a big effect on Scott Brown, and the midfielder paying tribute to him shows that he appreciates it.

Brown, 31, is on course to become one of Celtic's most decorated ever captains, and he will be determined to keep seeing off challenges from a potentially resurgent Rangers.

He has racked up 26 appearances for Celtic already this season, and could pass the 50-game mark before the season is out.
