The Tottenham Hotspur winger has everything in his locker to be great, once he learns how to best utilise his skill set.
Tottenham Hotspur winger Georges-Kevin N’Koudou has had to wait patiently for his chances to impress since arriving at White Hart Lane in the summer.
The 21-year-old was never going to walk straight into the Spurs starting line-up yet he would have hoped for more than a few brief cameo appearances.
Alas, that is what has happened with his showings against CSKA Moscow in the Champions League and Chelsea in the Premier League suggesting Tottenham have another exciting prospect on their hands.
N’Koudou’s one and only start to date – against Liverpool in the EFL Cup – was less effective. However the player possesses the raw talent to ultimately succeed, while he is young enough to learn and develop his game in the years ahead.
In fact, what we have seen from the player so far suggests that it is Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino who will determine just how successful he is in North London.
After all, a winger who actually loves to hug the touchline and who has pace to burn is a rare commodity these days, and if Pochettino teaches him well on the training field, there is every chance N’Koudou could become a firm fan favourite.
In fact, he could become a Tottenham superstar if their manager gets it right, coaching the necessary nous into his game and ensuring he utilises his pace and trickery to good effect.
An unpolished gem he may be, but with the right manager N’Koudou could become superb.
Tottenham fans will be hoping that man is Pochettino.
