Tottenham's forgotten summer signing Pau Lopez was in action last night.
Tottenham Hotspur's summer signings have received a fair bit of flak in recent days for failing to step up this season, but one player who has not had a chance is Pau Lopez.
Lopez was an under the radar signing, arriving on loan from Espanyol, and has few slender prospects of figuring for the first team.

He was perhaps a bit of a panic signing with Hugo Lloris suffering an early season injury, but Lopez has been unable to dislodge Michel Vorm as second choice.
Spending late November playing in an under-23 game for Spurs away at Sunderland is not likely to be high on Pau Lopez's list of achievements, but he was picked last night with the team keen to get him some game time.
Lopez conceded twice in a 2-2 draw, which saw teenager Shilow Tracey net twice, with Adnan Januzaj on the scoresheet for the Black Cats.

Having Lopez around gives Spurs plenty of room to be confident in case of injury, but he is yet to make his first team debut, overlooked for EFL Cup clashes in favour of Vorm.
Unless he goes on to sign permanently and compete for a spot if Lloris leaves, the move looks like a very peculiar one at this point, and a waste of time for Lopez, who was first choice for La Liga side Espanyol.
Here is a look at how Tottenham fans reacted to his selection...
I feel for Pau Lopez. Regular starter for Espanyol. Played regularly against Real. Barca etc...Now he's relegated to PL2 with us. #COYS— KR (@kartikr99) November 28, 2016
