Writing on Twitter after the team line-ups were announced, Jansson sent a message to supporters conveying his sadness.
The centre-back went onto wish his teammates luck ahead of the tough upcoming match at Anfield.

Jansson missed the weekend match with Rotherham United due to suspension, while this evening he is ruled out with illness.
Liam Cooper starts in his place alongside Jansson's fellow loanee Kyle Bartley, while top goalscorer Chris Wood is left on the bench.
Goalkeeper Rob Green is also rested, with penalty shoot out hero of the last round Marco Silvestri filling in in goal.
