The Star reported this week that the new Wolves boss will be watching the Blades in action to see whether the defender has a part to play at Molineux in the second part of the current season – with Wolves struggling for form in the Championship.
Wolverhampton Wanderers' Ethan Ebanks Landell in action with Leeds United's Mirco Antenucci
Ebanks-Landell was allowed to join Sheffield United on loan in the summer and has been a big hit at Bramall Lane.
The defender has been in good form for Sheffield United this season, scoring four times in 15 appearances from defence helping Sheffield United to a good run of form which sees them occupying third position in the League One table.
It was, however, Lambert’s predecessor Walter Zenga who sent Ebanks-Landell out on loan and the new Wolves boss may seek Ebanks-Landell as a simple solution to their defensive troubles if he likes what he sees in Yorkshire this evening.

Sheffield United are however keen on keeping the player. Manager Chris Wilder was quoted by Speaking to the Sheffield Star this week making it clear the club hope to bring him in this January coming:
“He’s said he wants to stay which is good. There’s work going on behind the scenes.”
But if Lambert decides he is needed back at Molineux, there may be little Sheffield United can do.
