The Celtic defender has praised two of his team-mates.
Forrest was on the scoresheet last weekend as Celtic thrashed Aberdeen 3-0 at Hampden Park to win the Scottish League Cup.
Although Brown was not among the goalscorers, the 31-year-old was outstanding in midfield as the Bhoys skipper continues to enjoy a new lease of life under manager Brendan Rodgers, who replaced Ronny Deila in Glasgow this past summer.
Forrest is another one who looks to have improved under Rodgers, with the 25-year-old boasting six goals in all competitions for the season thus far.
And Lustig has singled out both players for special praise.
“The manager has given us confidence and awareness," he told The Glasgow Evening Times.
“There are good players who have come into the team but guys like Scott Brown and James Forrest have been brilliant this season."
Winning the League Cup was part one of a potential - and expected - treble this season.
They are eight points ahead of second-placed Rangers with two games in hand, meaning that might well be wrapped up already, while the Scottish Cup should hold no fear for them if their performances this season are anything to go by.
