Ian Holloway claims Massimo Luongo has impressed him in Queens Park Rangers training

Queens Park Rangers are next in action on Thursday evening, when they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Ian Holloway has confirmed at his press conference earlier today that Massimo Luongo is fit enough to start for Queens Park Rangers against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Thursday evening.

QPR are set to host Wolves in two days’ time, as they look to bounce back from defeat against Ipswich Town in their most recent outing.

Luongo missed out on playing in QPR’s 3-0 loss at Portman Road, after falling ill just before the game.

However, the Australian midfielder has been back in training this week, and he has caught Holloway’s eye with his performances.

Luongo could now come into QPR’s team to face Wolves, with Holloway likely to make changes to his line-up on Thursday evening.

One player who will not be back for the match is Steven Caulker, though, as the defender is still sidelined with injury.

Caulker has not played since the back end of October, but Holloway has suggested that the England international is close to making a return to fitness.

QPR are currently in 15th place in the Championship table, and they could move up to 10th if they pick up the three points on Thursday evening.
