Sunderland and Hull City are currently in the relegation zone, while Burnley are in 13th place.

George Boateng has told Sky Sports News, which was broadcast on 29th November, that he believes Sunderland, Burnley and Hull City will all be relegated this season.

Boateng, who used to represent Hull during his playing days, cannot see a way that his former side can avoid the drop.

The Tigers are currently in 18th place in the Premier League table, and they have badly struggled since winning back to back games at the start of the campaign.

Sunderland have also found things difficult so far this term, but they have shown signs of life in recent weeks.

The Black Cats have won two of their last three league matches, but they remain rooted to the bottom of the table.

Of the three sides which Boateng predicted will be playing Championship football next season, Burnley have started by far the best.

The Clarets are in 13th place in the Premier League standings currently, but Boateng believes they will be dragged back into the relegation zone.

He said: “I think Sunderland will be down there, Burnley will be down there and Hull.”

Sunderland’s next Premier League matches comes against Leicester City, while Hull are set to face Middlesbrough and Burnley take on Stoke City.
