Celtic defender Erik Sviatchenko has told The Glasgow Evening Times that he is proud to playing with Scott Brown.
Sviatchenko joined Celtic from FC Midtjylland in January 2016 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £1.5 million.
The Denmark international defender has established himself as a key player for the Bhoys.
The 25-year-old centre-back has praised Celtic midfielder Brown, and has said that he is proud to be playing alongside the 31-year-old Scotland international.
“He is amazing at the moment,” Sviatchenko told The Glasgow Evening Times about Brown. “He is so fit, so quick and he anticipates everything. He has just this positivity about him and I am proud to be playing with him as our captain.”
Brown is one of the best midfielders in the Scottish Premiership and is a key player in the current Celtic team.
The Scotsman has had some fitness issues this season, but the 31-year-old is now fully fit and appears to be back to his best.
Celtic are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 34 points from 12 matches.
The Glasgow giants are eight points clear of second-placed and Old Firm rivals Rangers, and have two games in hand.
