Following their 5-4 defeat to Swansea City, Alan Pardew's Crystal Palace side have now lost six games on the bounce, leaving the Eagles in 17th place. Palace's slump comes as no surprise to Newcastle United fans, who witnessed more than one baron run during his time in charge of the Magpies.
Palace had a strong start to life with Pardew in charge when he returned to the club in 2015, but have had a disastrous 2016 which saw them slide down the table last season and put them in the middle of a relegation battle this time around.
So what do Newcastle fans think of their former manager's plight? We went to find out.
It is fair to say that there was a lack of sympathy on Tyneside for Pardew. The 55-year-old had a mixed spell in charge of the Magpies, guiding them to fifth and bringing European football back to St James' Park, as well as leading them into more than one relegation battle.
"Alan Pardew is a one season wonder," said one fan.
Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew
Fingers were pointed at Newcastle fans when Pardew left the club, claiming that supporters hounded the manager out of the club, with countless pundits stating that he had done a good job in charge of the Magpies.
While there were some good times at Newcastle with Pardew, there were more often than not bad times too, and those bad times have now followed him to Selhurst Park.
