Watford striker Troy Deeney has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at Henri Lansbury’s heroics for Nottingham Forest against Barnsley on Friday evening.

Forest got the better of Barnsley 5-2 away from home at Oakwell in the Championship. Lansbury was the star of the show for the Reds, as he scored a hat-trick.

Deeney, now on the books of Premier League club Watford, was following the match, and the 28-year-old striker was impressed with the performance of the former Arsenal midfielder.

Lansbury himself has taken to Twitter to revel in the win for Forest, and so has his teammates Matty Cash and Michael Mancienne.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Oakwell on Friday evening, hosts Barnsley had 61% of the possession, took 19 shots of which six were on target, and earned six corners, according to BBC Sport.

Visitors Forest had just 39% of the possession, took nine shots of which seven were on target, and earned two corners, according to BBC Sport.

The Reds are 17th in the Championship table at the moment with 22 points from 18 matches.
