Newcastle United will be looking to maintain their good run of form this afternoon when they take on Blackburn Rovers at home.
The Magpies will head into the Championship match against Blackburn at St. James’ Park high on confidence and as favourites.
Rafael Benitez’s side are currently at the top of the league table with 40 points from 17 matches.
Newcastle are five points clear of second-placed Brighton & Hove Albion and are firm favourites to win the division.
Meanwhile, Blackburn find themselves third from bottom in the Championship table at the moment with 16 points from 17 matches.
Rovers are in serious danger of getting relegated to League One at the end of the season.
Newcastle will head into this afternoon’s match on the back of a 2-0 victory over Leeds United away from home at Elland Road in the Championship.
Blackburn won 3-2 against Brentford at Ewood Park in the league last weekend.
