Sheffield Wednesday attacking midfielder Almen Abdi has taken to social networking site Twitter to send a message to the fans ahead of the match against Wolverhampton Wanderers this weekend.

Wednesday will take on Wolves away from home in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.

Abdi, who is 30 years of age, has taken to Twitter to urge the Owls’ fans to support the team at the Molineux Stadium.

Wednesday are ninth in the Championship table at the moment with 25 points from 17 matches.

The Owls are just two points behind Norwich City, who are currently sixth in the standings and occupy the final playoff spot.

Carlos Carvalhal’s side do not look like they could finish in the top two of the Championship table this season and gain automatic promotion to the Premier League.

However, the Owls can certainly end up in the top six and earn a place in the playoffs.

Wednesday will head into the match against Wolves this afternoon on the back of a 1-1 draw with Fulham away from home at Craven Cottage in the Championship.
