According to Calciomercato, Serie A duo Juventus and AC Milan are eyeing a move for Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla.

The Spaniard has been one of the star men at the Emirates for a number of years after arriving from Malaga.

His importance to the side has been evident already this season, with the Gunners struggling for form with him out of the side.

However, his contract is due to expire next summer and so far he has failed to reach an agreement with the club regarding a renewal.

That has likely alerted a number of sides, with teams outside of England free to start negotiations with him as early as January.

And according to Calciomercato, that is a possibility that two teams in Italy, AC Milan and Juventus, are openly exploring.

They report that Juventus are keen to improve their midfield options and Cazorla would be an ideal signing.

Of course, the Old Lady has a history of bringing in star men on free transfers, with Andrea Pirlo, Paul Pogba, Sami Khedira and Dani Alves just four of many to make such a move in recent years.

Milan are similarly keen to improve their midfield and Cazorla’s experience and quality would be a great boost to their aims of re-establishing themselves in Italy.
