West Ham United are currently languishing just outside the relegation zone.

During an interview with Sky Sports, Hammers goalkeeper Darren Randolph offered his opinion on his side's upcoming nightmarish run of fixtures, and insisted that they present West Ham with a fantastic opportunity to build some positive momentum.

Slaven Bilc's men are in a whole world of trouble at the moment, and currently sit just one point outside the bottom-three, with an incredibly difficult run of games on the horizon.

The East London outfit face back-to-back trips to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United in the Premier League and EFL Cup respectively, before a home fixture against fourth-placed Arsenal.

West Ham's horror run is then completed with a trip to Anfield to face second-placed Liverpool, and they could easily find themselves bottom of the Premier League table, unless there is a drastic improvement in their performance levels.

Randolph was in buoyant mood, however, when speaking to Sky Sports, and claimed that the run of fixtures represents a great chance for the club to build some confidence:

"They're good games for us to go and build up some confidence in by putting in some good performances."

Randolph also offered his full backing for under-fire boss Slaven Bilic:

"I'm 100 per cent behind the manager and I'll continue to work as hard as I can on and off the pitch to help turns things around."

Whatever happens, West Ham need to start putting points on the board as a matter of urgency, or risk heading into the New Year in an extremely precarious position.
