Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino has rebuffed reports the club could play Europa League games at White Hart Lane.

Speaking at his press conference and quoted by the Evening Standard, Pochettino confirmed he wants the club to plat the matches at Wembley.

Tottenham have played their Champions League home games at Wembley due to ongoing renovations at White Hart Lane, to give more fans a chance of getting in demand tickets.

The team have lost both matches at the ground so far and are eliminated ahead of the third, against CSKA Moscow.

If they at least draw with CSKA then they will qualify for the Europa League, and while tickets will not be as coveted, Pochettino sees the Wembley hoodoo as a challenge which must be overcome.

He said: "We will play the Europa League in Wembley and we need to make it our home.

"Next season we need to play 19 games and European competition [at Wembley]."

Spurs are set to play all home matches in all competitions there next season, and could do with getting some wins on the board at the ground to get rid of the mental barrier which is at risk of developing.

No problem playing EL at Wembley Have no doubt crowds will be decent But will Spurs take it seriously? No point if suddenly worried about PL
