The Spanish left-back has only just returned after 11 months out.

Nottingham Forest boss Philippe Montanier has been delivering the fitness news at the City Ground and it seems that the club have mixed news on that front.

He was speaking to the club’s official website, as reported on their Twitter account, earlier today.

He had good news on the progress of Jack Hobbs, but less good news regarding midfielder and club captain Chris Cohen:

Hobbs has not played for Forest this season with his last appearance for the club coming in January. But it appears he is getting close to a return after his 10-month lay-off.

Cohen however looks set for a spell on the sidelines. He spent over a year out of action and only returned to action last season but, as reported by the BBC, he is set for three months out with an adductor tear.

In the other injury news Nicklas Bendtner and David Vaughan are approaching a comeback but Britt Assombalonga and Eric Lichaj have knocks.

More alarmingly is that Daniel Pinillos has headed back to Spain to see his knee surgeon. He only returned to action for Forest after 11 months out at the weekend but he has now damaged the other knee:

So, good and bad news for Forest in the injury department ahead of the meeting with Barnsley on Friday night.

Hopefully the injury problems do not start mounting up at the City Ground.
