The Turkish talent is wanted by Spurs, according to his agent.

Last week saw Tottenham Hotspur linked with the signature of Turkish youngster Murat Saglam.

Aksam reported that Spurs are keen on the player and his agent Muzzi Ozcan was quoted as stating:

"Murat is quite a talented player, a modern offensive midfielder.

“Tottenham especially are showing very keen interest. For now I can only say it.”

The teenage attacking midfielder is a Turkish under-19 international and has played for Wolfsburg since he was a kid. According to Transfermarkt he is out of contract in the summer and Spurs would be getting their hands on a real talent.

They would also be getting some payback on a team that took away one of their brightest talents in the summer of 2015.

Ismail Azzaoui was hotly tipped as a future star of the Spurs team after enjoying an excellent 2014-15 with the club and the Belgian under-17 side.

But the 18-year-old joined Wolfsburg last year and has since gone on to feature twice for their first-team. Still considered a top talent, many a Spurs fan is still annoyed at the way Wolfsburg managed to pry him away from North London.

Tottenham now have the chance for a little bit of payback on the Bundesliga side with Saglam seemingly in their crosshairs.

If a deal did get pushed through it will be interesting to see how the pair develop in the years to come, and see who got the better deal.
