Leeds United are currently in seventh place in the Championship table.
Danny Mills has told Sky Sports News, which was broadcast on 23rd November, that he believes Leeds United have a good chance of making the play offs this season, if they bring in two new players in the January transfer window.
Leeds are currently in seventh place in the Championship table, after a strong run of form has launched them up the second tier standings.
The Whites have won nine of their last 13 matches across all competitions, with optimism high at Elland Road.
Although Leeds lost their last match 2-0 to Newcastle United, Garry Monk’s side are still lurking just outside the top six.
And Mills believes that with the right additions in January, Leeds could make it into the play offs this term.
“It’ll be difficult,” the former Whites defender said, when asked whether Leeds could be promoted this season.
“I think Garry has done a fantastic job after a shaky start. He was under a bit of pressure and we know that the owner can pull the trigger at any given moment, but he’s settled the team down.
“I think they may be a little bit short. When I saw them play Newcastle on Sunday, Newcastle were much better.
“There’s a chance they could get into the play offs. If Garry can add one or two players in the transfer window, they have a good chance of making the play offs.”
Leeds are set to invest in January, with the Yorkshire Evening Post suggesting that Monk wants to sign a striker.
Leeds are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Rotherham United at the New York Stadium.
