Celtic target Darlington Nagbe was in the stands to watch tonight's game against Barcelona.
Portland Timbers midfielder Darlington Nagbe in action
Portland Timbers midfielder Darlington Nagbe was spotted in the crowd during Celtic's game with Barcelona this evening, as seen on The Scottish Sun's Twitter account.
Celtic took on Barcelona in their penultimate game of the Champions League group stage, and were looking to hit back having been beaten 7-0 by the Spanish giants back in September.
The Bhoys ended up on the losing side again this evening, as a goal in each half from Lionel Messi saw Barcelona run out 2-0 winners at Celtic Park.
It was a bumper crowd and a sensational atmosphere at Celtic Park, and a potential new signing was in the stands to watch the game this evening.
The picture below, posted by The Scottish Sun's Twitter account, shows Portland Timbers midfielder Darlington Nagbe in the crowd ahead of a possible move to Glasgow.
Nagbe, 26, has racked up more than 200 appearances for MLS side Portland Timbers, and despite being born in Liberia, he's also earned ten caps for the United States national team.
According to the Daily Mail, Nagbe has been in Glasgow for over 24 hours, as Celtic weigh up whether to purse a permanent deal for the playmaker, which would cost in the region of £1.5m.
Nagbe subsequently took in this evening's game, and even took to Twitter to post a video from Celtic Park, capturing the atmosphere along with a one-word reaction: wow.
Celtic may be hoping that Nagbe's experience tonight will aid them in their pursuit of the midfielder, even after being on the end of a 2-0 defeat.
