Celebrity West Ham United fan Kriss Akabusi has criticised Arsenal supporters over their attitude and revealed he would love to see his club take advantage.

The Hammers slipped to yet another disappointing defeat, squandering a 2-1 lead to lose 3-2 at bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

It was their seventh defeat from 12 Premier League games so far and leaves Slaven Bilic’s side sitting just one point and one place above the relegation zone.

The defeat was made all the more frustrating by the fact the Hammers – like in so many games this season – could not make Spurs pay when they were on top leaving the door open at the other end as their desperate run continued.

Simone Zaza was guilty of some poor decision making when coming on as a second half sub which denied the Hammers a game-killing 3-1 lead.

The damning statistic remains that not one of Bilic’s strikers has scored a single goal between them this season – 18 competitive games in.

And celebrity Hammers fan and legendary British athlete Kriss Akabusi believes the answer lies at London rivals Arsenal where he feels the fans have treated one of their players harshly.

“Olivier Giroud, why do Arsenal fans give him stick?” Akabusi posted on Twitter.

“I love watching him play and would love him at West Ham, scores goals (and) has impact #coyi.”

Giroud was linked with a transfer away from the Emirates in the summer and has spent most of the season on the bench in his new super sub role.

As Akabusi points out the Frenchman continues to make an impact regardless scoring vital goals for the Gunners, the latest being the equaliser against Manchester United last time out.

Whether Arsenal would let him go or not is debatable, but he could certainly forge a potentially potent partnership with Hammers star Dimitri Payet as the pair proved at Euro 2016 in the summer.
