West Ham United signed Simone Zaza in August, but he has failed to impress during his time in East London.
Reports emanating from Italy suggest that Serie A giants AC Milan are contemplating a January bid for West Ham’s on-loan flop Simone Zaza, according to Italian media outlet CalcioMercato.
The 25-year-old Italy international has struggled to establish himself in the Hammers first-team since his arrival from Juventus in August, and his substitute appearance against Everton at the weekend encapsulated everything that has been bad about his performances since he joined the East London outfit.

Simone’s loan deal involves a buy-out clause of £18 million, should he reach a certain amount of appearances for West Ham, but the report from CalcioMercato claims that Milan are considering making an offer to Juventus for the striker before the clause can be brought into action.
Zaza has looked sluggish, and a long way off the pace required to succeed in the Premier League during his time with the Hammers.

The Italian has made nine appearances in all competitions for Slaven Bilic’s men and is yet to score, or chip in with an assist.
With a crucial run of fixtures coming up for West Ham, it will be interesting to see if Bilic has enough confidence and trust in Zaza to offer him a regular starting role over the coming weeks and months.
