Roca, 19, made his senior debut in Espanyol's second La Liga match of the season and has appeared in every game since.
As such, the Barcelona outfit are keen to reward Roca with a new contract, increasing the player's wages and, perhaps crucially, his buy-out clause - currently €1.5 million (£1.35 million).
Such a fee would be peanuts for clubs like Southampton and Liverpool, whose interest is sure to appeal to Roca.
Southampton are renowned for their ability to identify promising youngsters and turn them into stars, with Liverpool the beneficiaries in the cases of Nathaniel Clyne, Adam Lallana and Sadio Mane - while Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp promoted a number of academy products during his first year at Anfield.
That said, with regular first team football coming his way under Quique Sanchez Flores, Roca may favour staying with Espanyol.
Roca's fellow Catalan Oriol Romeu is currently impressing in Southampton's midfield.
