Shrewsbury have been without a manager since Micky Mellon left to take charge at Tranmere Rovers earlier this month.

Danny Coyne has been in caretaker charge of Shrewsbury since Mellon's departure, but the club have lost their last three games to leave them rock bottom of the League One table and five points adrift of safety.
A number of names have been linked with the vacancy at Shrewsbury, but several candidates have been ruled out of the running for the role at the Greenhous Meadow.
