Wolves are without a win in their last four games following their defeat against the Seagulls.
Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Walter Zenga
Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have taken to Twitter to discuss Walter Zenga's future after the side fell to a narrow defeat at the hands of Brighton.
A 14th minute goal from Sam Baldock proved to be the difference at the Amex Stadium as the Seagulls secured a 1-0 win to remain in touch with the pace-setters in the Championship.
Brighton and Hove Albion's Sam Baldock scored the only goal
But despite Brighton's position in the table, the general mood amongst the Wolves supporters was one of frustration. The Midlands side had more possession and more attempts on goal than the hosts, but that counted for nothing as they suffered yet another defeat.
Zenga's men have lost three in their last four, and have won just twice in their last 10 fixtures in all competitions, leaving them languishing down in 15th in the table.
Wolverhampton Wanderers' Matt Doherty looks dejected after the game
And while some have insisted that the Italian deserves more time before the club makes any changes, others have pointed to the lack of progress over the last few weeks as a reason why it may be time that the board think about the direction the side is currently going in.
And with four consecutive games against teams in the bottom-half of the table now ahead, the number of disgruntled Wolves fans will surely only grow and perhaps make a noise too loud for the club's hierarchy to ignore if their results do not improve drastically.
Here is the best of the reaction following the narrow defeat.
no team has:— Phil Owen (@flowin74) 18 October 2016
new owners a few weeks b4 season
new manager 1 week b4
12 new players
then becomes a major force playing consistently #wwfc
If midtable wasn't acceptable last season, in noway, shape or form should it be this season with the squad we have #WWFC— Matthew M-S (@Matt_MS_94) 18 October 2016
1 point from 12. 3 goals. Last year's inadequate defence still playing. Half the new signings not even in squad. Genius this Zenga #wwfc— Nigel (@nigelps59) 18 October 2016
Whatever zenga is saying to the side at half time, he needs to be saying it before game kicks off. So many times this season arghhhh #wwfc— Danny Powers (@Danny_Powers) 18 October 2016
Hoping Zenga can turn it around, bit of patience required. New owners, 13 new players, its a long season and only 4pts off playoffs #wwfc— Liam Flecknor (@LiamFleck) 18 October 2016
#wwfc I'm not in the Zenga out club but the next two games are massive 4 points atleast or it could be curtains for Walter .— wwfc79 (@HeatonBobby) 18 October 2016
So frustrating. Not a lot wrong. Individual mistakes costing goals. Not ruthless in front of goal. #wwfc— Martin Danks (@MartinDanks) 18 October 2016
Zenga's job is hanging on a thread now. If we don't get AT LEAST 4 points out of Blackburn & Leeds, he's off. #wwfc— Adam Cotterill (@AdamC456) 18 October 2016
How long can we protect Zenga for? We consistently don't turn up for first halfs. Just not good enough!! Always too little too late!! #wwfc— Tommy Oliver (@TommyOliverWV) 18 October 2016
